This custom Suzuki GSX R150 Cafe Racer has 60 percent of original parts replaced to bring an absolutely gorgeous looking finished product
At the 2017 IIMS (Indonesian International Motor Show), Suzuki revealed the new versions of its entry-level GSX R150 and the S150 as the market carries plenty of importance to the Japanese manufacturer. W can’t help but crave for these bikes to come to India as they are certain evolution of the much-loved Gixxer series sold in India. The motoring show was contested between April 27 and May 7 and there had been some mouth-watering displays the spectators could not shy away from.
With the 150 cc performance-based twins, Suzuki also showcased a modded version of the same motorcycle in café-racer style. The customised Suzuki GSX R150 café racer was modified by Insan Motor Bekasi and there seems to have lot of work being put into converting this rather alluring motorcycle. The customiser replaced 60 percent of original components while modifying the Suzuki GSX R150 into a café racer and you can easily see why.
It features a flattened seat with rear pillion covered in cowl, larger twin petal disc setup up front, blackened body panels in some areas, bodywork extending from base of the tank to the shroud the radiator, shortened frnt fender, exposed rear tyre, rounded headlight with LED surround, and so on.
The mod-job looks as if though how you want it to be, certainly for me, on a 150 cc motorcycle with not too many expensive parts. No mechanical changes seem to have been made on the GSX R150 with the engine able to pump out the same power and torque figures. The 147.3 cc single-cylinder water-cooled DOHC motor is good enough to deliver a maximum power output of 19.17 PS at 10,500 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm.
It is connected to a six-speed transmission sending power to the wheel. The Suzuki GSX-R 150 café racer has a length of 2,020 mm, width of 700 mm and ground clearance of 160 mm with 785 mm seat height. It tips the weighing scale at 131 kilograms.
